Doesn't feel like a normal boot.
Out of all 4 of my current Air Force military boots, this has to be the favorite. Wearing them, they feel like running shoes. They don't feel like your wearing you heavy combat boots. They're not steel or safety toed, they have a box toe only. If you want one of those installed in this, you're going to have to find a shoe guy somewhere in town to do it (I've seen them charge $50-people told me it's still worth it since they can only have steel toed boots in their job). If you're in the military, buy them at your MCSS (Military Clothing Sales Store) on base. At AAFES, they're under a hundred dollars ($98.95) and not tax of course. I do recommend you buy these. You have an excuse not to shine the rest of the boot since it has cloth and no worries of having it crack at the flexing point. I accidentally used a hose to wash vehicles, and the water didn't go through the cloth. They're not water proof, they're water resistant, so don't walk through a lake in them unless you have to. They dry fast since it's mostly cloth and not leather. My opinion, they look better than regular leather boots and require less polishing. If you do want someone to steel toe them and find a person to do it, they usually recommend to buy a half size larger than your foot.
