Spend your money elsewhere
These shoes lasted a few months of intermittent use before falling apart. They were never comfortable from the onset and never broke in...just became more unbearable with time. I've used Danner boots for years but have now switched to Lowa...the best brand in my opinion.

Doesn't agitate me quite as well as the Radical
I bought a pair Agitator 45 GTX boots in 2005 to supplement my Danner Radicals during a month of volunteer work and hiking in Yosemite National Park. The Agitator 45s are slightly lighter than the Radicals but their "Mountain Chassis System" provides excellent torsional rigidity similar to the Terra Force construction. Wearing the Agitator 45s for work and day-to-day activities and the Radicals for hiking and peak bagging was the perfect combination for the month in Yosemite, and I always had a dry pair of boots.

These make a good day hiking and backup boot. But since they are nearly as expensive and weigh just slightly less than the more supportive and protective Danner Radicals my recommendation is to go with the Radicals if you'll only have one pair of boots. The Agitator is cut with slightly less overall "volume" than the Radical and therefore may fit slightly better than the Radical if you have a low instep or vice versa.
