A great desert boot
I recently completed a one-week, 145 km trek in the Namib desert using these boots and was thoroughly impressed by their performance. They were extremely comfortable right from the start and required very little breaking in prior to the trip. Toe box is comfortably roomy without being loose and the material wicks sweat out extremely efficiently. I used them with Bridgedale socks and the combination afforded excellent moisture management. Sole is firm, yet flexible, and the tread provided excellent traction in terrain varying from loose sand to dry riverbed to sharp, scrabbly slopes. Build quality seems good - they stood up well to 8 hours of hard use per day with only cosmetic scuffing and wear. My feet were very, very, very happy walking in them!
