Java-licious!
I bought these shoes with many miles of day hikes in mind and this Java pair, just like the Hurricanes I own, delivered more than what I expected.

The soles are VERY sturdy without feeling heavy and bulky. It provides not only superior heel support but an equally great traction on mud, gravel and even snow. I'm very clumsy and often bump and hit my toes against rocks and tree stumps, these Java pair got me covered! It supplies excellent toe protection without the crushing feel on my little piggies.

The waterproofing quality of this shoe withstood hours of frolicking with our dog at a local shoreline park. I've also taken them on many snowshoeing hikes. Just pair them with gaiters and you're all set for some play time in slush and/or snow.

Looking for ankle support? You obviously should not get the Java or any low-cut shoe for that matter. However, if searching for a day hiking or light backpacking shoe that gives incredible sole support and offer great waterproofing - Java delivers, with style at that!
