Great boots for a show!
I recently did King Arthur in "Camelot" for a local community theater. They 'encouraged' us to buy our own boots, and with less than a week to go, I found these boots online via a cast member.

They arrived AFTER opening night, but we ran for two weeks, and they ended up really 'making the character.' They are NOT leather, so they do not breathe, but they fit very well (I am a 12/13, and just guessed the largest size was right- and I was!) and looked GREAT from stage.

The tongue of the boot is quite long, and because of that, tends to slouch to the left or right upon wearing, but that is easily adjusted. They offer no arch support, but as I wear orthotics anyway, they were PERFECT once my 'foot shape' was in the boot, as it were.

I would say that, for the price, they are an EXCELLENT choice for stage wear, or for Renaissance Festivals, or being a swashbuckler for Halloween. The heel is low, so they feel like regular shoes, except for the calf height. Which means they don't engender the 'cowboy boot swagger' or the Cuban heel stance. All in all, a good buy. As we said in the show, 'Yah, yah, yah, and we all had a glorious time!'
