First Pair of Rainbows - Definitely Not My Last
These are extremely comfortable. I had heard for awhile from people who swear by Rainbows that I should get some. They are hands down my most comfortable pair of flip flops. In high school and college I wore the $1.97 flip flops until they wore out (About a month). But I've had Reefs, Big T1tties (Pirates), AE, etc. And these easily beat them.
I think I'll be buying a pair for my wife.
The only issue for me is the Sizing. I wear a size 14, well Rainbows don't come in strict sizes. So my foot fell somewhere right in between a XXL and a XXXL. I bought the XXXL and they are bigger than my foot. They are very comfortable, but I wish I could try on a XXL to see if in the future I should buy some XXLs. That's just an issue with buying online, I realize that, and it's nothing against Rainbow. Hope this helps. If you wear flip-flops all the time, or if you can only wear them after work :(

Great sandals, but might consider alternatives in future
I have had these sandals, the double layer version, for a little over a year now and they are the most comfortable sandals I have owned. The only other pair that has been close comfort wise was a pair of Teva sport sandals that I had. I have worn these sandals all year round and I can walk 5 miles without getting any blisters. But now that I have had them for over a year, I am now through to the third layer at the heel of the sandals, so the 'lifetime' warranty does not apply anymore. When I bought these sandals, with all the praise they received and the 'lifetime' warranty, I thought the bottom would last longer than it has, and if it did then I would have given it 5 stars. The sandals are really comfortable and I will continue to wear them until they fall apart. But when it comes time to buy another pair, I will consider the offerings from Reef, Crocs, and Rainbow. I still recommend these sandals because I am a little harder on my shoes/sandals than others are. Review #4
Buyers Beware of new foreign-made Rainbows
Rainbows USED to be THE sandal back in the day, as other writers have stated. That was when they were US made of EXCELLENT quality materials. Apparently, Rainbow has outsourced to Southeast Asia, where materials and/or craftsmanship is sorely lacking. My husband's (200+ pounds) 1970s Rainbows lasted him nearly 15 years, so I purchased four pairs for my kids--ages 19, 18, 17, and 11--and another pair for my husband in 2006. The bottom soles have already worn through on all sandals, the top sole has completely cracked apart on one pair, and the top sole has worn completely through on another--NONE of which is covered by Rainbow's guarantee. I'm very disappointed, and won't purchase another pair of Rainbows. Review #5
Rainbow Sandals
I ordered a pair of mens Rainbows for my son. They seem to fit true to size. He wears a 10 1/2 Mens shoe and the Large fit him fine. They should fit a little snug in the beginning. Being leather they will soon mold to fit your foot. He loves them and says they are the best flip flops he has ever worn.
