In addition, Sorel constructed these boots to be waterproof fortresses against snow. A built-in gaiter seals off your pants cuff. A molded midsole provides cushioning and additional insulation. The lightweight rubber shell around the lower foot stays flexible no matter how cold it gets. Rubber soles with lugs grip ice and snow.

Even in Alaska
I took a trip (having just turned 20) from Florida to Alaska in January. They worked well with a pair of wool socks until it got around -44 for two days. Otherwise great, didn't slip once!
