Great shoes if you know how to buy them correctly
My daughter has worn this style shoe for 2 years now - it's one of my favorites from Stride Rite. They are very well made, quite comfortable according to my daughter and apparently so popular that WalMart even has their own Kid Connection version of the shoe (obviously differing in quality).
One other reviewer said she was disappointed at how small they were compared to other shoes in the same size. This happens with everything - you can't count on a size 8 shoe being the same and fitting the same everywhere. If you are familiar with how Stride Rite runs, the "size" of the shoe would not be a surprise. My daughter wears a 9 in Stride Rite but a 7.5 or 8 in all other brands which is mainly why we stick with Stride Rite...for the consistency. Trying to find the right size shoe anywhere else is just such a nightmare and a waste of time (trying endless sizes until you find what size fits in that particular brand and style). If you have your child measured instead of guessing, you'll know the correct size to buy. Compared to other Stride Rite shoes, they seem true to size, no smaller than any other style in the same size.
I have been and continue to be a huge fan of Stride Rite. Hate the cost but I think it's worth it to know that my daughter is getting the best quality out there with the best support for her growing feet. Review #2
Too Small
I purchased these for my daughter to wear over the holiday's. I bought an size larger than she wears (8) only to find the shoes are made very small and she could not wear them... Dissapointed Review #3
Shoes too small
Compared to other shoes the same size, these were too small & my daughter has never been able to wear them. I was disappointed in these Stride Rite shoes.
