What is an Emu?
After ordering I thought, what is the lining made of, and what's this about an EMU? When they came I thought...oh no, I probably slaughtered some cuddly strange Australian special living thing for my boots. So I couldn't look. But they are just great, lined with wool. I am going to convince myself sheared, do not stop this illusion. I do struggle a little bit to pull them on, but it's not too bad. I'm a bit tipsy most of the time anyway. And I like to curse things.
The boots were terrific today, not hot, certainly perfect to teach in after rains. I'd order another pair in a minute if I could... in another color( but there is a new family "Sarah do not spend" order in effect). I like to walk on the winter beach too, this really was easy in these today when I got away briefly. I did not look Richard Nixon in his shiny out of place loafers on shore walking in San Clemente, I looked Southern CA Malibuish beach cool. Okay, I looked like an old teacher in boots on the beach in Oxnard. But I felt cool.

These came fast, are really very nice. I ordered my size and it fit fine. So I'm happy. Emu's are still flightless, but have their feathers, so that's all good too.

EMU Boots
I gotta tell ya, I think this style boot is pretty ugly; but these are the MOST comfortable shoes I have ever owned, other than my EMU slippers! Just love these boots!
