Review #1 Great shoes, not too expensive I always wondered what the fuss was all about with Crocs. I would never buy the Cayman ones because I knew they would slip off my feet (which I hate) and they were not very feminine looking. I happened by a shoes store one day with some unusual-colored Caymans for sale and I decided to maybe try some Crocs on and see what the big deal was. I saw the Mary Janes and thought they looked cuter than the Caymans, so I tried them on and fell in love. I have wide feet with a very high instep (the top of my foot), so a lot of shoes are uncomfortable for me and I'm usually limited to what kinds of shoes I can wear (mostly boring ones). I love the mary jane strap on the top of the shoes. They would not work for me without that strap because the strap in the back does not really hold my foot at all. It's just there, but the Mary Jane strap holds my foot firmly in place and gently stretches with my movements so it doesn't get painful or give blisters. I would definitely recommend this shoe to anyone that is looking for something comfortable and not 90 dollars. They are a casual-look shoe (I wish I could wear them to work, but I can't), but are comfortable. I know that Crocs also makes a flat that doesn't have all the holes on the top. I want to try them because these Mary Janes are extremely comfortable, durable, and washable so you can just hose them off if they get dirty or muddy. Mine are in the light purple color, which I think is nice and girly-looking. I didn't really like the black in this style...it just didn't look feminine enough for me, I guess. Review #2 Mary Jane Croc's These croc Mary Jane's are FABULOUS!!! I have many friends that have reservations about wearing what they call "plastic shoes," but just know that I set the record straight. I have bought a pair of the "knock off croc's" and was that ever a mistake. My husband made me throw them away after they made my feet "STINK." My husband loves my feet, but after wearing the "knock offs" and having my feet smell like what he called "bad cottage cheese" I learned my lesson. So buy CROC's they don't make your feet smell, they are stylish, and simply comfortable. Review #3 Comfort before beauty When I first saw Croc's I thought they were the ugliest shoe ever made. My fiance got a pair of Redskin Crocs and made me try them on to see how light they were. I put them on and they felt great! However, I still didn't want a pair because they were pretty darn ugly. I went to the Croc's website and saw the many different types they make and came across the mary janes. I'm a huge fan of mary jane shoes and these weren't as hidious as the regular ones. I ordered a pair from amazon in a basic black and now I can't go anywhere without them. They are perfect for shopping, going to the beach (much easier than walking in flip-flops), washing the car, etc. I have plantar fascitis and I can wear these shoes all day without my feet killing me. They are great for airplane trips because they are easy to slip off and on and are comfy for that rush to the gate. I'm no longer a skeptic and I plan on getting them in a few more colors. Review #4 Crocs Mary Janes/Women's I just bought my first pair of Crocs - Mary Jane style for Women. In general, I've found them to be very comfortable, colorful and fun to wear. I really wanted black but ended up purchasing fuchsia as it was the only color in my size. The helpful person in my local shoe store informed me that the shoes are made in four different locales which may account for the lack of consistency in how the back strap fits. On some shoes, the back strap extends beyond the heel of the shoe. It took several tries to find correct fitting shoes with proper straps. Also, they are very popular and sell out fast. My suggestion is to look at the side of the shoes to see if the back strap is extending beyond the heel or at the heel or narrower than the heel. Think of the ankle - how the foot is narrower there. On my shoes, the two straps are not quite even although they look ok. Of course, one of my feet is longer than the other - just to complicate matters. I'm ready for an additional pair. It does not feel like plastic which is what I thought it would feel like prior to my local purchase. I recommend them in spite of the strap issue. Perhaps Crocs will fix this strap issue. Review #5 Uneven straps! I purchased these at Dicks Sporting Goods, and they had only one pair in my size, 9w, so, I saw that they fit and uickly bought them. WThe next day I realized the back strap on the right shoe is biger than the starp on the left shoe, so my foot slid back a bit....But I still love the style, color, and comfort, and the top starp held the shoe in place just fine (the top starp does stretch easily).
