WEAR THICK SOCKS!
Since there are no half sizes and the recommendation is to buy the next size up, the shoe can be a little loose and rub on the heel/achilles tendon area if you don't have thick socks. Wear socks that are higher than the back of the shoe. I normally wear a 9M and I think 8.5 M would be perfect...but no such luck!!!
