A highly stable trainer made for the heavy runner and severe over-pronator who quickly breaks down the midsole and needs a firm shoe. Synthetic/mesh upper provides lightweight comfort and support. C-Cap® midsole with ABZORB® in heel and forefoot adds maximum shock absorption, a graphite Rollbar(TM) and TPU medial and lateral post offer pronation and supination control. Great Shoes
I have owned a pair for 18 months and I am buying a new pair. Very durable, have used mostly for gym work outs and around town wear. I am a big guy 6'2 220 and the cushioning is just starting to break down. Other shoes I have spent in 3 months. I would highly recomend these shoes. My pros and cons:
Pros: Durable, comfortable, good cushioning, last forever
Cons: Kind of heavy, the mesh on the shoes lets in a lot of cold air in the winter. Review #2
The most comfortable tennis shoes I have ever owned.
These shoes are so light that sometimes I forget I have them on. They are so comfortable than I don't want to take them off. I have to walk a lot every day and I am not kidding when I said that any other pair of shoes make my feet sore after a few hours of use, but these shoes do the job to perfection.

great running shoes
I am on my third pair of these and they are great. I jog about 12 miles a week, so I normally get a new pair every year. Since the old pair is still good, I simply keep them as walking shoes.
The 587 is light and very breathable (not good for cold weather). Cushion is enough, but I would like more. It is also durable, I could have wearing them for over 2 years, easy.
I used to get those inexpensive running shoes and once I go with the 587, I am not going back. As a matter of fact, it is time for me to get a new pair!

Not worth the price
I've owned a pair of 587s for 18 months, wearing them exclusively as walking shoes full-time in the summer and very little the rest of the year. While the shoes are comfortable, I was disappointed at how fast they're falling apart. The padding around the ankle has torn, there are small holes in the top of the toe box from my big toes, and I was surprised to see the description of these shoes on this website to include the statement, "The solid rubber outsole delivers long-wearing durability." That's been my major complaint with these shoes; shortly after I got them, the soles cracked at the heel, and now layers of the soles are peeling off.

Big guys best bet
Best shoes I've ever had. I can't give them enough stars. If you're a larger than average person, do your feet a favor and get these shoes.
