Asics are made for running.
I have bought several brands over the 15 years of running. Asics makes a superior shoe for control, cushioning, etc. I have only bought Asics the last 10 years.

Great shoes, but buy 1/2 size up.
I love these shoes. They are excellent if you have bad arches and ankles, like I do (pronated). Great support and very comfy, but be sure to buy them 1/2 size bigger than you normally wear: they seem to run small.
