New Balance 881
This shoe is the BEST shoe for women with extra wide feet! The description boasts "a generous toe box" and it has just that! This shoe is the most comfortable new shoe I have ever had! It is great for feet with bunions because of the soft mesh, and the larger toe box. My orthotic inserts fit well once I removed the inserts that came with the shoe. They are stylish, and SUPER confortable! Thank you SO much, New Balance, for finally putting a shoe out that is PERFECT for extra wide feet! I plan on purchasing another pair of New Balance 881's so I won't wear these out too quickly!

Shoes that fit!
This is my third pair of 881s. I started with 880s and went through all I could find before New Balance quit making them. Their superior cushioning allowed me to continue walking 5 miles/day without pain. As a follow-on model, the 881s run a bit larger than 880s and are differently shaped (I had to go down 1/2 size and pay to return the first pair I bought). These shoes are made on SL2 last and seem to be hard to find locally for fitting. I tried some of the more popular SL1s and made a best guess at size.
