The New Balance 992 running shoe is built for the mild-to-moderate overpronator who requires a combination of cushioning and enhanced stability. Lightweight and supportive synthetic and mesh upper. ABZORB® SBS in heel and forefoot gives maximum shock absorption. Encap® polyurethane rim with C-Cap® molded EVA midsole provides ultimate cushioning and support. Lightweight N-Durance™ rubber outsole adds maximum durability in high wear areas. Wt. 14.7 oz.

New Balance M992
I initially started with the M2000. The NB website stated best comfort, best support...etc so I went for it. When I tried running with it I felt a lot of vibration and shock, so I wrote to NB to enquire why? My weight at that point was about 78kg.
NB told me maybe my weight is too light for the shoe and suggested that I go for the 991 instead, which I found to be a lot more comfortable. Now a few years later the 991 is worn and falling apart, time for a replacement.
I found the 992 cushioning hard, like the 2000 (then maybe its not run-in yet), other than that build quality is good. Just wondering whether I should have spent a bit more to go for a MBT instead... Review #2
Great sneakers.
I was very critical of this company at first. When the two pair of sneakers I ordered came one pair was missing and there was an empty box. If the Shoe Fits responded quickly, sent me my sneakers, and a free pair of socks. I would certainly order from this company again and both pairs of sneakers were great at a very good price delivered to my door. Review #3
A fine shoe -- but they are hot
This is one of the few shoes that really work for me in terms of fit. Unfortunately, as one other reviewer notes, they are uncomfortably hot whether you are exercising or just sitting. Review #4
NB992
I've been running with NB for many years because it is the only running shoe that makes a 9AA. It performs well as advertised. Review #5

The shoes are great. I run three miles a day and started running in these the day I got them without any issues.
