The Rockport Men's Prowalker Walking Shoe is part of the Rockport World Tour Classic that has become the standard for walking comfort. Constructed with the Rockport patented Walk Platform, it provides a wide base of support for the heel and a flexible forefoot to aid in the walking motion. The removable footbed is made of rubberized EVA cushioning that is durable. Rockport Men's Prowalker Walking Shoes
I had to replace my old Rockport Prowalkers, not because they had worn out even after 10 years of almost daily wear, but because a neighbor's dog chewed up (totally FUBARed) one of them. These new shoes are similar, but not identical, to the ones I bought 10 years ago, but they feel about the same on my feet--comfortable enough for activities of daily living, but not comfortable enough for serious hiking. If this pair lasts as long as the last, then I'll know I've gotten a great deal this time, because I paid $30.00 less by ordering via Amazon than I did when I bought them from a local shoe store last time. old faithful
I have been wearing the Rockport ProWalkers for many years. I wear them at work and wear out a pair every 9-12 months. They "ugly out" before they actually wear out. I have always had black and I polish them once a month or so. They are the only shoe that lasts through a Disney World vacation. I am not limping at the end of the day. When they are 4 to 6 months old I usually place a foam pad into them to renew the soft feeling. Review #3
Prowalker quality downgrade
I have been buying a pair of white Rockport Prowalkers for ten or twelve years and have remained loyal to the brand because of the excellent wear they gave me and their superb comfort. Something has changed recently in this series of shoes. The leather is much stiffer and the shoes are just not as comfortable. They still give good arch support and the assembly quality seems okay, but only time will tell how they hold up to daily use. I hope Rockport returns to their high standards of manufacturing in the future. I'll probably look for something else when it's time to replace these. The color white is more like an ivory color now. Best Walking Shoes
I have been wearing this model of Rockports (7100) for over 15 years. A store near me told me that they were actually discontinued at one point by Rockport. There was so much demand for these that they were brought back. For me, I like the fit and feel of these shoes. Review #5
Comfortable Shoe
I have sore feet and I find this shoe very comfortable. It eases the pain in my feet. I did put in a thin cushion pad which made it even better. Pad was only a buck.
